Paramedics and nurses are injured from assaults at an alarming rate.
Injuries from assault to EMS (Paramedics and EMT's) Firefighters and nursing staff occur at an alarming rate. Injuries from the assaults are actually a leading cause of lost work hours.
Our Escaping Violent Encounters training provides the skills needed for staff to recognize, avoid, escape and if needed defend against these assaults. We offer training across the US. We have even sent training material to the UK, Russia and Mexico. We have certified instructors currently teaching in Florida, Maine, Arizona, Colorado, Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia, Connecticut, Missouri, Alabama, Georgia, Massachusetts and North Carolina.
I have spoken to numerous Paramedics, EMT's and nurses who had no idea our safety training existed.
We have grown over the years all by word of mouth. You can see what people say about our classes by viewing the Testimonial section of our website here:
Although we have trained thousands, there are millions in the Emergency Medical field to still reach.
I have quit my full time job as a paramedic in an attempt to spread our safety message. I have a Facebook fan page at www.facebook.com/dt4ems our www.dt4ems.com website and forums located at www.dt4ems.com/forums.
I make phone calls, send out regular emails and have even had articles published in an attempt to let people know we exist.
We now have 71 independent instructors teaching our material in their Paramedic schools, hospitals, fire stations and ambulance bases.
With marketing directed at EMS magazines and websites I believe we can launch into a whole new area of potentially new clients that did not know our training existed for their staff.
We want all in the Emergency Medicine setting to know how important it is to be Saving Yours, While You Save Others.
Tipping point funds will be directed at marketing. Marketing will be focused on:
1) EMS magazine know as EMSWorld. They have been the most supportive regarding the safety of EMS providers. I will place ads in their magazine (that goes to nearly every ambulance base in the country) and use their email marketing blast (targeting administrators and educators).
2) Facebook Ads marketing. We have a small but dedicated following that constantly spreads our safety articles and videos around the internet. Using Facebook ads to attract more followers/Likes to out page only increases our chances of getting our name branded as the gold standard.
3) Printing of our tri-fold brochure. I have a fantastic tri-fold brochure that I place in giveaway bags at conferences I speak at. Usually I print them myself in black and white. Having a professionally done laser/color print with be more eye catching.
Funding sources above tipping amount will be applied to training scholarships for agencies wishing to send staff to an initial course or train-the-trainer course.
For $99 above tipping point, we can train a provider in our 16 hour course of Escaping Violent Encounters.
For $499.00 we can train a staff member from a hospital, fire station or ambulance base to become a trainer at their respective agency.
The amounts do not include particpant travel, lodging or meals (if needed).
